I was recently given the opportunity to try out the Ultimate Cloth, which advertises as being able to clean – and leave without streaks – any surface with just water. I was eager to try it out, because paper towels and Swiffers and cleaning sprays get old. "If this thing works,” I thought, “this could be great.”
The manufacturer sent me a cloth to try for free. It came with some instructions (since it’s not just a paper towel, after all) on how to take care of it and make it last the entire 5 years for which it’s guaranteed. (I know, right? 5 years!) Unfortunately, I set the baggie with the cloth in it on my kitchen counter, since at the moment it arrived I didn’t have time to read the information that came with it. (I have a newly mobile little girl, after all.) Unfortunately again, much time passed and I *ahem* forgot about the lovely Ultimate Cloth sitting on my counter. And unfortunately once again, the nice little Ultimate Cloth got *ahem* covered up by some other paraphernalia….for a couple of weeks.
Ironic, no, that the Ultimate cleaning cloth got buried by a little pile of stuff that needed to be cleaned up? Let’s not talk about the problem I have with letting things clutter up the kitchen counter, shall we? Thank you.
This weekend I finally got around to trying out the cloth.
People, let me tell you something. That thing works. We have a stainless steel refrigerator which, thanks to above-mentioned little girl, gets smeared and covered with little fingerprints on a constant basis. Whether she’s pulling herself up on the fridge or exploring how her fingers leave little marks all on their own, she has a way of leaving a trail behind her. If you know anything about stainless steel, you know that it can be a pest to clean. Not with the Ultimate Cloth, however.
Not a great picture, but can you see any streaks there? I can’t.
I’ve used the cloth on other surfaces, too, and not a streak can be found. All I did was dampen the cloth with a little water and wipe away. That’s it. It really worked.
However, I must say this: the cloth doesn’t claim to be disinfecting or antibacterial….so it’s probably not so good for things you want to be cleaned like that. I’m not sure I would use it on sinks, for example, or in the bathroom, though their site says it can be bleached. For the fridge and windows, though, it’s great.
If you’re curious and would like to give it a shot, the company is offering a free cloth to everyone through their website. All you have to pay is the shipping, which wouldn’t be much at all since the cloth is thin. If you want to check it out, visit The Ultimate Cloth website.

2 of your thoughts:
Since I've got that flat stove top and the stainless fridge, sounds like something I could use. Not to mention the icky stuff that the furnace throws out. I'll see what I can do about getting one for my use. Thanks.
Mom
Okay. I've ordered one. Just $2.99.
