It's a wonder this doesn't happen more often. It's becoming more frequent, for sure, but not nearly as much as I had expected.

She gets the most pitiful, mournful look on her face, as though her one and only friend has left forever. I retrieve it from the floor, and all is well again.

It is definitely like their best friend has left them! I usually stick one or two extra in the crib before bed or nap so if one falls out C can reach around for another!

I heard of a person who put a whole bunch of soothers (glow in the dark) in the crib. That way they never had to get up to give it back!

My daughter is finally soother free. It took her a while to go to sleep, but she did it and slept all night. Wonderful!!
