The Memories Trickle In

Phew. In case anyone was wondering, I take a lot of pictures! I’ve been sorting through all of my pictures from our trip last weekend, and it’s virtually impossible – no, really, it is – to pick which ones to share with you all. If I do say so myself, there are lots and lots of good ones, and no one picture (or two….or ten) sum it all up. I’ve made a few collages, though, that I think kind of wrap it up.

March 2010 6

Day 1 Memories: leaving at 6 AM (with Leah wide awake….weird), Newfound Gap, and carsickness. (Merely saying “carsickness” is a horrible understatement, but I didn’t want to get into telling you all about Leah vomiting and Scott disassembling the car seat to clean it on the side of the road. Well, I guess I just did. I’ll spare you any more details than that.)

Day 1, Part 2 Memories: Taffy pulling, chair lift, cookies as big as my head, Farkle, Leah’s car seat dangling over the edge of the balcony as it dried.

March 2010 62

Day 3 Memories: Leah and Granddad playing with beads and billiard balls, WIND, walking to the chapel (my personal recognition of Palm Sunday), Scott and my dad playing pool and foosball, Leah playing in the big tub, Bubba Gump’s shrimp, Leah’s first lemon.

March 2010 63

Day 2, Part 2 Memories: the Aquarium of the Smokies. Phenomenal. Breathtaking. Worth every penny and then some.

March 2010 7

Day 3 Memories: an attempted visit to the Happy Hiker, Nature Trail (in the misty cold rain), air hockey, a marathon foosball tournament, roasting marshmallows while watching 24.

Day 4 Memories: Sunshine!, fun on the balcony, jacuzzi, no carsickness (hurray and hallelujah).

It was a wonderful trip….but it’s still good to be home. There’s something to be said for routine.

love all the collages! glad you didn't choose just a few. I think my favorite is the look of awe on Leahs face in the Aquarium collage! (the lemon one made me laugh). have a great weekend!

Looks like a wonderful trip. I had a similar carseat experience about twenty years ago with my son. Oh the memories!

Have a blessed Easter!
