Since she became mobile, Leah has been obsessed with Kitter. Nothing is as entertaining to her as reaching for the cat’s fluffy tail or popping her little head up over the edge of the couch where Kitter is sleeping. She loves this new game; Kitter, however, is not amused.
One afternoon this week, they were playing their normal game of “catch the kitty” when I could tell that Kitter’s patience was wearing thin. I mercifully offered to let her outside, out of the reach of the sticky-handed and drool-covered baby. She eagerly accepted the offer, and followed me to the front door.
I opened the door and Kitter, ecstatic to have an escape route, made a break for it. Unfortunately, though, she forgot that we recently installed a glass storm door.
Oops.
She has always hated the rubber mat we have outside the door, and leaps over it when we let her out. This time, though, she was interrupted in mid-air by a plate of glass. She faceplanted straight into the door and fell backward. Ears back and eyes alarmed, she looked up at me as if to say, “What’d you do that for?” Though I was laughing hysterically (I did feel bad – I promise), I managed to get the other door open and let Kitter outside. As she made her way to the front yard, I saw her stop and shake herself, no doubt trying to figure out what had just happened.
And she thought being chased by Leah was bad?! At least she can see Leah - she got punched in the face by some invisible opponent!
Then, to add insult to injury, Leah crawled up to the door, giggling and shrieking, and commenced banging on the door behind Kitter. The poor cat probably thinks she’s being punished for something.

It's as funny to ready about it with the accompanying pictures as it was to hear you tell it the first time.
Hey, Hey, did you notice? I've got 5....count 'em.....5 followers now.
Oh goodness. Don't feel bad, I would've busted out laughing myself. Poor kitty. We have three cats and Collin loves to chase after them and pin them to the floor to give them a "hug." Luckily they are all very tolerant, but I do feel bad sometimes.
Thst is hilarious!!!
Awwww what a cute story! My little Story is doing the cutest things these days. She loves nothing more than to follow me around in the house and crawl up into my lap and stay there. I thought once she started crawling that she would be crawling the other direction, but it seems the opposite! Babies are never what you think they will be. <3
