“Facing Your Giants,” by Max Lucado

In case you hadn’t noticed, I’m a fan of Max Lucado. I just finished reading Facing Your Giants, and – surprise, surprise – I loved it.

The book takes you through the life of David, the Old Testament’s man after God’s own heart, and through his victories and defeats, shows how we, too, can enforce the power of the God in taking on our giants. While we may not face a literal giant as David did, we do face other struggles that are similar to his; luckily, we have the same weapons we had, too…even if he didn’t always use them.

I would recommend this book to anyone who struggles with anxiety or depression, definitely, as well as anyone who sometimes feels overwhelmed by a “giant” struggle in their life. (I, um, think that covers pretty much everyone.) It’s a great book, and in typical Lucado style, it will leave you wanting more.

I've got it to read. I actually found it in Large Print (for older eyes) and can't wait to get started with it. I'm glad to hear that it lives up to his high standard of writing.
