Dear Target Pricing Gurus,
You have ruined me.
Completely and totally ruined. I’m spoiled absolutely rotten by your prices. Your heavenly prices……
Over the years, I have become accustomed to clearance prices of $2.24 for a knit top, or $5.88 for a pair of jeans. I am used to being able to get 3 or 4 camisole tank tops for less than $5.00, or an entire outfit for less than $20.00, including shoes.
That, my dear Target friends, is what I call a sale.
However, you have done the unthinkable. You have gotten me hooked on your priceless clothing and your clothing’s prices, and have gone and pulled the ol’ bait and switch on me. You got me spoiled, ruined, and impossible to please by any prices that aren't rock bottom. You have left the wonderful world of bargain pricing and gone to the dark side. It is not fair that you should change your pricing. When I see an item on a clearance rack labeled with the price of $8.98……I’m sorry, but that isn’t a clearance. Putting the price on an orange sticker does not make it a good one. Now, $3.98……that’s a clearance. That, my friends, is what I’m talking about.
Please, for the sake of myself and all other Target combers……bring back your true and decent clearance prices. I realize I sound dangerously similar to a strung out drug addict……but please…..please……bring them back.
If you bring back true clearance prices, I promise you won’t lose any business. Your profits will remain the same – or even increase – because this penny-pinching mama will be more likely to buy things. I promise.
Please ignore, too, any correspondence from someone begging you to do the contrary. It’s probably just my husband, and he’s probably just wanting his closet space back.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Mossimo/Merona Addict
P.S. I love your clothes. Can’t even tell you….

Ha ha! I agree. But you can find those low low prices anywhere if you really look. Gap, for instance, has lovely things for ridiculously low. But you have to go to the bottom of the barrel :-) Kohls--also WONDERFUL with their sales!
I can tell your a mom now because of the early hour of this post!
The picture of you and Leah having a conversation in the sidebar of your blog is MUCH too small! You should enlarge it so I can really SEE it!
heehee! i love Target too. I can never go in there w/o buying something I didn't need.
*L* Very true. They have the only dress shirts that fit my husband too. A real & true small, slim fit like custom *gasp* Target's a fave. Their little girl clothes are too cute too. You can get good $ back on them sometimes from consignment shops too, Mine take Target clothes like Cherokee. Hope you see your rock bottom clearance again Jess!
That's one thing I dislike about living in Canada...we don't have a Target!!!!! Last summer we drove to Buffalo and had the BEST time at Target! Great post :)!
There's a Super Target in Frederick, MD about a half hour away. It's like a Super Walmart but Target. I haven't gone yet but plan to someday.
