It is time.

For many years, I have felt a calling on my life to write a book. It took me awhile to figure out what the book was supposed to be about, and it took even longer for me to get my head in the right place to work on something so huge.

I’ve figured it out now, and it is time to do it. I am actively writing a devotional book geared toward women.

Many of you have played a significant role in this, and I thank you – over and over – for your affirmation and encouragement that have gotten me to this point. I ask now for your prayers as I really begin working on this task God has asked me to do. It has taken me so long to begin because I am terrified of failing. For a long time, I have figured that if I don’t try, I cannot fail. My dream remains in the realm of “what if’s,” and I never have to utter the words, “….but it didn’t work out.” I am finally coming to a place, though, where I can consider that perhaps a goal is not only about the end result, but perhaps is more about the journey. Please pray that I will work at this with diligence and will not falter. Please pray, too, for a steady stream of inspiration, because 365 devotionals is a lot!

Unfortunately, though, this will probably affect my blog. Obviously, I am going to be hoarding many of my “inspirational” posts to include in my book. (I don’t want to give away the milk……then no one will need to buy the cow!) Also, my posting might become somewhat sporadic at times. It might not……but it might.

I’m excited about this. I feel like I’m finally embracing something God made me to do, and am refusing to allow my fear to hold me back from it.

Here I go………
