Persistence

DSCF6788

Leah is really trying to crawl. For awhile, when she was sitting on the floor and wanted to roll around, she would kind of just fall over onto her back or belly, and roll from there. Now, though, she leans over and lowers herself down onto the floor. Sometimes she gets her foot stuck underneath her, which does not please her, but she’s getting better and better at maneuvering it out from underneath herself. Once she does, she gets on her hands and knees and kind of rocks back and forth for a minute before deciding – usually – that rolling will do for now. Sometimes, though, she has her mind set on crawling around and gets so, so frustrated that she can’t get it. She’s got a streak of her mama’s perfectionism in her, I think, but she also has a strong persistence about her that keeps her trying.

Hey Jess, have you tried helping her move her limbs the way they should go? Or maybe crawling around and letting her see? She is so watchful and observant...

She will be crawling soon! Can't wait to see her moving all over the place. It will be so cute! You'll have to post a video. Maybe story will learn something from her. hehe
