What if you could impact a village by drinking a cup of coffee?
You can.
This week in worship at my church we heard about Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee. This is coffee grown in Rwanda, roasted in Georgia, and shipped to you…..thereby helping to rebuild a country torn apart by war and genocide. It’s true. The website has this to say:
When we learned that the 1994 genocide in Rwanda devastated the coffee growing community and left the surviving growers in unjust conditions, we invested in a roaster and a few bags of green coffee beans from Rwanda and launched a new experience grounded in coffee, community, justice.
And y’all…….not only can you minister to people who are trying to survive, but seriously? You can drink some really good coffee. I’m no coffee connoisseur, but even I can tell that this is some seriously good coffee.
So check out their website. Order some for yourself. Talk to your pastor and get it for your church. Talk about it on your blog and facebook about it. It’s great coffee for a terrific cause. It’s worth looking into.

2 of your thoughts:
Thanks for sharing. I put the link on my facebook and forwarded to my church's coffee ministry. I'm not a coffee drinker but I think that tumbler can hold my hot chocolate. :)
Thanks for reminding me about this. I'd completely forgotten about it.
