Baby girl, we’ll grow and learn together.

DSCF1658

I’m trying to learn more about photography and to develop my photography style, so my very pregnant sister and her daughter provided the perfect subjects for my itching shutter finger. Ashley very graciously braved the heat and humidity and allowed me to play around with taking pictures, and I had a great time doing so. Granted, most of the pictures I took yesterday were of my niece….but can you blame me? She’s a cutie!

I'm kind of proud of some of the shots. I'm obviously still a newbie at this and have a lot to learn, but I think I got some good ones.

Here’s a very small peek at what I got:

that top one is really great!
good job!

a little photography tip for you: it's all in the editing :) i have had so many pictures where my settings were off and once i tweaked them a little with editing (or turned them black and white and adjusted the contrast) they turned out fantastic!

oh and tip two: i don't know what kind of camera you use but always shoot in manual. it's the best way to learn and figure it out!
