Life Through A Lens

I recently joined a photography challenge group on Facebook. A very talented friend introduced it to me and, though I was really scared about placing myself alongside legitimate photographers, I thought it sounded like fun. We have weekly challenges to complete, and I’m really enjoying finding out my assignments and seeking out ways to capture the topic.

I’m finding that it’s a special thing to look at the world that way. If you look at everything as a potential photographic moment, everything seems more beautiful. Everything looks different when you think of how it might look through a lens or even in a frame.

There is a certain beauty to everything, and it’s exciting to look for it. It makes life look more like I think it’s supposed to look.

I think that's why I love photography so much! I used to look at everything that way, but now my heart (and my camera) only has room for Noelle. Jess, I take about 200-500 pictures weekly of her because she's just so beautiful and I love to capture every angle and every moment!!!

I always keep my digital camera in my purse, so I'll have it with me in case and unplanned photo-op occurs. Yet I still never remember to take it out and use it!

I love looking at things (all or just parts) with the eye of a camera buff. Dad sees things differently, looking at things from a painter's perspective. These are beautiful photos. Great job.

Your egg picture is BRILLIANT btw. Great lighting. It's all white but there's so much depth because your lighting is so good, and it's NATURAL lighting which is my FAVE!!! I HATE using flash!

You're a photographer showing us life in everything. The father and daughter photo is just as wonderful as all the takes. Great work of love and art! Congratulations!
