Jumpy

I'm thinking of getting Leah a jumper toy - like one of those that fits in a doorway - but I'm not sure if they're safe or not. Any feedback? Has anyone used one of these? Know anyone who has?

I think they're like anything else out there...you're always taking your chances with a contraption. One thin I dont' recommend is a walker. I had Bubby in one all the time because he just did NOT want to do anything else. He never even tried to crawl. He loved the mobility (I don't think they even roll nowadays) and he was too lazy to try on his own. He didn't walk til he was about a year old because of that thing. He used to whine to get in it or have me hold his hands up so he could walk around. That got old real quick so in the walker he went. Sissy was crawling by the time she was 6 months old. Go figure. Happy bouncing!

I think they're safe. I've known LOTS of people who use them and babies LOVE them. The only thing you'd really have to worry about is if there are other children around they like to hang on it or pull on it and that can interfere with the baby IN it... and when the babies get too big they can pull on the molding around your doors. But I've babysat many a child with them...and some of my siblings had them when I was younger.
