* Twice in the past week I've taken meat out of the freezer to thaw for a particular night's dinner, and both times found the meat to still be a big frozen meaty brick when I went to begin cooking. What's up with that?
* I'm trying to get better about clipping coupons and being intentional about doing things to save money. If anyone has any creative and particularly useful ideas, I'm all ears!
* Wednesday night I started a Bible study at my sister-in-law's church - "Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed," by Priscilla Shirer, Beth Moore, and Kay Arthur. It's amazing so far. I'm really excited, because my quiet devotional times have been somewhat (okay.....very) disorganized and scattered since Leah was born.
* Leah loves playing with her cloth diapers that I use as burp cloths. I used to do that when I was little, too, so it's really cute to watch her.
* I'm using Fuzzi Bunz cloth diapers when we're at home. They're really great.
* Yesterday I went walking with a friend at a park nearby. It was amazing and very encouraging to see all of the other moms there with their kids. For the first time, really, I felt like I'm not the only one doing this whole "stay-at-home Mom" thing.
* Leah is starting to roll over and she's actually interested in her toys now!
* I need to get a sewing project bag or something. I've been keeping my fabric and tools and all in....literally....a WalMart bag. It works, but it's not very attractive. A sewing shop in town has some on sale this week, so I'm going to go look today.

6 of your thoughts:
I've always wanted to use cloth diapers. Is there a diaper service that you use? I mean, I can't imagine throwing those nasty things into the washing machine--yuck! Especially when the child gets older and the stuff gets more solid...
And when your meat is still frozen, you should put it in water that's at room temperature and it should take care of it in an hour or two. I cheat sometimes and put it in warm water since I ALWAYS forget to take my frozen meat out in time. They say you're not supposed to but I've never had problems with it.
A random question for your random question... but not really. So you stopped breastfeeding already? Why is that? I thought it was best to do it a whole year. Was it too painful? I"m so afraid it will be too painful for me and I won't stick it out for a year. Some people like it so much they do it for two or three... but I want at least a year... I guess I just want your feedback on that whole experience. I'm terrified of it and everyone says it won't work if I'm not relaxed when I do it! Grrr!
Just wondering when you were planning on going to Gatlinburg with your family. Lisa and I are thinking of stopping there on our way down.
Pooh! I was hoping you had maybe written another blog so I could procrastinate from the grades that are due!!! OH well. I guess it's back to my nose on the grindstone! If only I had a movie to put on in the background...
gotcha some good milestones there! Are you starting to feel normal now? It took me a good three months before I got the hang of life as it was. You'r a brave one with the cloth diapers. I tried it once or twice but I just couldn't deal with he poopie ones. Even when potty training rolled around at our house, if there was any poopie accidents, those undies hit the trashcan faster than you could say "P.U."
Okay... so I was cutting you some slack because I hadn't posted for awhile but now I've posted so you have to as well! :-)
